By simply utilizing just a handful of Kodi addons, you can get access to all of your favorite online Tamil media right to your home — no matter where you are. Before we Proceed

You’d better utilize a VPN when employing Kodi. Kodi users have been known to receive copyright infringement notices for streaming movies, sports, and online TV shows through various addons. If you would like to keep your streaming habits private, our recommendation is IPVanish – a complete privacy solution for Kodi users. It’s also worth noting that purchasing a 12 month subscription will give you two months free.

Research Methods

We utilized a few, key research methods to find Tamil Kodi addons:

  • Online web searches
  • Searches through popular online TV and movie addons
  • Searches through super-repositories for more obscure addons
  • Searches through community forum posts

The given method helped us to cast a rather big net. Using these methods, we were able to discover Tamil online TV and movie content in a number of popular addons, and were able to discover some very obscure addons that most Kodi users may not realize actually exist. The topic is incredibly niche, so it should come as no surprise that many of these addons are relative unknowns.

We tested each of these addons to ensure that they exist as advertised and work as advertised. No addon on our list was down at the time of testing.

It’s crucial to keep in mind that uncommon, weird or rarely-used addons are much more likely to be unreliable. They’re less likely to get updated by their developers, given the lack of use or user and community input. Your best bet to navigate such a niche topic is to install as many of these addons as you can — preferably all of them. This will give you much more options, and offer you the opportunity to try out different addons. You may find you like one of the more obscure addons more than one of the popular ones!

Popular Addons with Tamil TV and Movies

You can find our ZemTV installation guide here.

ZemTV is a messy one, although it still keeps providing great content. Once you figure out how to properly navigate your way around this addon, you’ll find that it provides a good amount of live online TV, movies and TV shows for anyone hoping to find great Tamil online content. All we can really say is this: have fun scrolling through long, long lists to find  the live TV you’re looking for. ZemTV has Tamil content, it just makes you work hard to find it. Thankfully, the movies section is broken up well by language, so you’ll actually find a section specifically noted for Tamil movies, of which there are just over 61.

cCloud TV

You can get our cCloud TV installation guide here.

cCloud TV is a popular addon for live online TV. The good news is that it also offers TamilTV. You can find Tamil online content under the “International” section of the addon, and scrolling down pretty far to the bottom of the list. To date, you’ll find over a dozen live online channels offered available on online cCloud TV, an impressive number to be sure.

Niche Kodi Addons for Tamil TV and Movies

The easiest way to install Einthusan is to use the Fusion Installer. Otherwise, follow these steps:

  • Click on Add-ons

  • Click on “Install from repository”
  • Locate and click on humla Add-on Repository
  • Click on Video add-ons
  • Click on and install Einthusan

For a niche addon, Einthusan is incredibly well-developed. This addon offers a decent load of online TV and movie content for not just Tamil speakers, and also those looking forall Deccan languages. Einthusan offers users with a lot of search and browsing options, making it one of the best addons you’ll find to get the online content you’re looking for — as long as that content is not in English or a European language, of course. You’ll likely find the most use out of this high-quality addon, and may find you don’t need to download any of the others, unless you’re looking for live online TV. That is the only thing missing from Einthusan that would make it a complete Tamil content viewing experience.

TV Desi Zone

The easiest way to install TV Desi Zone is to use the Fusion Installer. Otherwise, follow these steps:

  • Head over to your home screen.
  • Click on the “System” tab.

  • Select “Add-ons”.
  • Click on “Install from zip file”.
  • Find your Fusion file.
  • Go to xmbcrepos.

  • Click on “International”.
  • Scroll down until you get to “”.
  • Head back to the “Settings > Add-ons” screen.
  • Find “aj add-ons”. In the “Video add-ons” section of the repo, find “TV onDesi Zone”.

  • You can find the addon in your “Videos > Add-ons” section.

We’ll admit, this is a weird one with a bit of an odd take on the interface. However, it’s refreshing when an addon developer decides to actually provide more than the standard list visuals. TV Desi Zone provides a list of TV onlne channels from two different sources. Our biggest gripe is that the addon is extremely slow loading. Yes, it will load live TVstations for Tamil and other languages, but it takes several minutes to do so. We advise to use this one wholeheartedly, but only for those who have much patience at hand, or something to do while waiting for the sections to load up.

India 4 Movie

You can easily install India 4 Movie using the Fusion Installer. Otherwise, follow these steps:

  • Download the zip file for this addon from github here.
  • Head over to “Settings.”

  • Go to “Add-ons”.

  • Click on “Install from zip file”.
  • Locate the addon zip file. Click to install.

  • You can now found India 4 Movie under your “Videos > Add-ons” section.

India 4 Movie is a fantastic addon. The interface is simple, but it breaks down the movie offerings by language very nicely. You have the option of Tamil online films in general, or Tamil movies from 2015, 2016 or those that are dubbed from other languages. All told, this addon is quite simple to understand, offering movies. You’ll likely want to make this one a go-to option for how easy it is to find movies, both ones you’re already looking for and new movies you didn’t know where in Tamil.

ErosNow and HotStar

You can easily install ErosNow and HotStar by using the Fusion Installer. Otherwise, follow these steps:

  • Install YoColdRain’s Repository
  • From your Kodi home page, click on Settings

  • Click on Add-ons

  • Click on “Install from repository”
  • Locate and click on YoColdRain’s

  • Click on Video add-ons
  • Click on and install ErosNow and HotStar individually to download each one

We put these two into one section as they’re all offered by the same creator. Interestingly, they provide somewhat different content in each one, but, almost amusingly, they all have the same common problems. ErosNow provides movies only, which is a weakness. HotStar has movies, TV online shows and a smattering of live TV online options. Both of these have some content that crosses over in the movie categories, although we believe that HotStar is a superior addon for having better organization and a wider library. That said, both addons fail to distinguish between languages. They offer programs in Deccan languages, but don’t actually tell you which language each one is in. Assuming you’re from the region, this shouldn’t be too much of a problem, but for others, you may find both of these addons a bit of a hassle to use. Nevertheless, they’re each loaded with Tamil content.

The easiest way to install Aftershock is to use the Fusion Installer. Otherwise, follow these steps:

To install this addon, follow these steps:

  • Click on Add-ons

  • Click on “Install from repository”
  • Locate and click on Aftershock addons

  • Click on Video add-ons
  • Click on and install Aftershock

Aftershock offers a pretty simple interface and — better yet — easy access to Tamil movies and shows, as well as a wide range of other Deccan languages. It’s so sad there are not a huge number of movies listed here. However, you will find a good number of TV online channels listed. The TV channels are not broken up by language, however, so you’ll have to know what you’re looking for in order to locate the Tamil online channels. Assuming that Tamil is your first or second language, chances are you’ll recognize Tamil television stations when you see them. If not, you can check this helpful listing of Tamil tv stations, and cross reference that with what’s offered through Aftershock.

You can easily install MalabarTalkies addon using the Fusion Installer. Otherwise, follow these steps:

  • Go to “Settings”.
  • Click on “Add-ons”.
  • Go to “Install from file”.
  • Head to your Fusion zip file.
  • Go to “–repos.

  • Go to “International”.
  • Scroll down until you find “”. Install it.

  • Return to the “Add-ons” screen.
  • Head to “Install from repository”.
  • Find the new repo: gbzygil’s XBMC Addons”.

  • Go through “Video Add-ons” and find “MalabarTalkies”. Install it.

The main page for this addon actually shows how heavily focused it is on providing Tamil content. It separates content by language, so you should have no problem finding good Tamil content here. There are a few sections linking to Tamil streamers, and those sections are properly organized. You can easily spot online TV, movies and even movie songs, a rare treat. We did find some dead sections on the addon when testing it out, so you may want to keep this as a backup while you’re working your way through the other addon options.

Deccan Delight

You can easily install Deccan Delight using the Fusion Installer. Otherwise, follow these steps:

  • Click on Add-ons

  • Click on “Install from repository”
  • Locate and click on Gujal’s Addon Repository

  • Click on Video add-ons
  • Click on and install Deccan Delight

Deccan Delight throws Tamil content right at you as soon as you open up the addon. That said, the addon is far from organized. There are no real categories here, and the content that is offered is pretty bare bones. Nevertheless, Deccan Delight does connect to greater content libraries by simply linking you to some other addons you’ll discover on our list, as well as some other Tamil-specific content providers. All told, this is a good option, although not the best if you actually like structure.
